Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka is a Belarussian born in Minsk. Sergey Her father (who died in 2019) was a ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born Minsk, Belarus on May 5 1998. She holds 12 WTA titles during her career. This includes the Grand Slam of 2023 Australian Open. Doubles is another area where she excels. It was the US Open 2019, and Australian Open 2021 were both played by Elise Martens. The year she was born, she was the winner of both in the WTA 1000 and Miami Open in Indian Wells with her Belgian partner, completing her Sunshine Double. Just four pairs of women's tennis have achieved this achievement. The 23rd of August, 2021 was the day she was ranked second on the list of world singles rankings her top ranking again in January 2023. At doubles she however pushed herself into first position during February of that same year after the victory in Melbourne being the first tennis player born in Belarus to be a part of the sport of doubles. She was trained by an ex- Russian tennis champion Dmitry Tursunov from 2018 until at the end of season in 2019 and in the first quarter of 2020. Dieter Kindlmann played a short period as her teammate in August of 2020 until September. She has been trained by her fellow countryman Antonio Dubrov since the end of 2020. Serena Williams, and Maria Sharapova are her heroes.
