Aurora
Aurora Aksnes was born on June 15 in 1996 in Stavanger Norway. She is professionally known as Aurora and sometimes stylized with highercase letters like AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, launched in May, 2015 by Decca Records to great approval from music journalists and media. She has previously recorded two high-profile covers Half the World Away by the band Oasis for a Christmas advertisement from John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. The singer gained further attention through a tweet from Katy Perry where Perry endorsed the song Runaway. Celebrate her special day. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is that of locating a piano in her attic and becoming fascinated by the sound it could produce. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged Aurora to take up music not to get the purpose of a career or as an interest, but as a way to improve. To achieve this she started writing her own new compositions. Her influence comes from famous writer Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in addition to her attraction to Bjork's style. Her mother encouraged her to perform her songs in public, not to achieve fame, but rather to inspire others to realize just how important that they are, and the impact they can contribute to the world. As a young girl she began to learn the piano. At age nine, she began writing her own songs. The family did not know about this until she was 14. Aurora isn't something she imagined as a child. Her words say that she simply likes to write songs. She says that music is her most preferred way to feel anything.
